SMS Verification and Phone Codes

RadioCom uses one-time SMS verification codes (OTPs) to confirm ownership of your mobile number. This is a transactional service used only for account security and to enable safety features.

  • We send a verification SMS only in two cases: when you turn on the SOS safety feature for the first time (a verified number is required before it can be activated), or when you request a code from Settings > Phone Verification in the app. We do not send SMS for marketing, promotions, or any other purpose.
  • Before any SMS is sent, you enter your own mobile number on the in-app screen and tap "Send Code." The screen clearly states: "We will send a one-time verification code via SMS. Message and data rates may apply." Tapping "Send Code" is your consent to receive the verification SMS.
  • Sample message: "Your RadioCom verification code is: 123456"
  • You will receive one verification SMS per request. How often you receive messages depends on how often you start verification, such as enabling SOS, re-verifying from Settings, or recovering account access.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. RadioCom does not charge you for SMS verification messages.
  • You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any RadioCom verification SMS. You will receive a final confirmation message and will no longer receive verification codes. To start receiving them again, open Settings > Phone Verification in the app or contact support@radiocomapp.com.
  • For help, reply HELP to any RadioCom SMS or email support@radiocomapp.com.
  • Your mobile number is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use it only for the verification purposes described above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are excluded from any data sharing with third parties.
  • SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, Inc. RadioCom follows U.S. carrier A2P 10DLC requirements registered with The Campaign Registry.
  • SMS verification is currently available for U.S. mobile numbers across major carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
